Hello everyone,

This week I am writing to you from Translation Department.

4 years ago, I experienced camping for the first time in my life in the western desert of Egypt.

Before going, I had many worries regarding the weather, security and so on, however after going and staying for 2 nights, all my worries fade away and I enjoyed to the max every single moment of the trip. Finally, it turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had and I thought I’d love to repeat it again in different locations.

After moving to japan, with all the well equipped campsites located in the middle of nature, surrounded with mountain, lake, ocean etc., my passion to camping grew even bigger and bigger!

Since then I’ve been camping in many places mostly in the summer.

I want to share with you my latest camp trip experience.

On 24th of Sep. (officially autumn) I went to the south of Izu, trying to grab the last bite of summer.

Honestly, I didn’t have any good expectations, as the sun hasn’t come out for a pretty good time, the typhoon was being followed by another typhoon and the weather was just awful all over japan telling that it is not the perfect time for camping.

As expected, the first day was cloudy and rainy. We had to pitch our new tent in the rain so it took almost 3 hours! We were so exhausted so we had a quick lunch and fell asleep till the next morning!

For our surprise, we woke up to find this beautiful clear sky! We decided to go hirizohama (ヒリゾ浜)!

We were lucky enough because we found out that the day we went was 2016’s last day we could access Hirizohama! Maybe that’s why it was more crowded than we expected.

The water was still warm and we could do snorkeling! There were many beautiful fishes!

The next day (Monday), was our return day and we decided to make it fun by visiting as many beaches as we could! And that was the best part ever of this trip!

This is said to be the most beautiful beach in South Izu! Kujuppama. Very good for snrorkling! Was almost empty!!

Comes after kujuppama, Sotoura! It was wide enough to have privacy! The water was very beautiful! Not so clear like Kujuppama but absolutely good enough for swimming!

If you want to enjoy the beach away of crowds, I really recommend late September and of course Izu as the best destination and the nearst beautiful beach to Tokyo!
